Buying a mural is always a process. Some people know immediately what they want and others want advice .
Today I would like to take you on a photo assignment and show you what a photo consultation at db-photolounge looks like.
Initial situation
My customer wanted a wall picture from me, initially just for the living area , then she wanted another picture in the entrance area . Since she already knew my homepage inside and out, she first told me her favorites.
So I visited her in her home to get an impression of how she lives and what her general style is. Personality is also important to me, as it helps me to assess what kind of feeling a picture should convey.
I measure the essential parameters, i.e. size of the wall, furniture, distances, etc., and this already determines what the optimal format will be.
Then I photograph the room and the corresponding space, import the image into my visualization program and can so perfectly present the image selection on the live location. This tool has become absolutely indispensable for me, as many people do not have the imagination for the finished scene.
Then the selection process begins. First, the favorites are displayed in the visualization , and it can happen that a certain image is something you like, but is not suitable for this space.
I love these discussions, this back and forth of emotions, considerations and thoughts - absolutely enriching, also for me.
At the end of the consultation I send all the pictures - usually around three or four make the final selection - to my customers. Then it is up to them to decide...
Every picture has a story, and for me it is always very exciting to experience how other people see my pictures, what they interpret into them and which are their favorites.
Then my work is done and I look forward to their decision .
In the end, my customer chose two pictures that complement each other wonderfully.
Now the order goes to White Wall , which has been named the "best photo lab in the world" several times in a row.
Do you want to know which two pictures she chose?
Then register for the newsletter on the homepage and you will be informed as soon as a new blog is published.
